Taking Your LED Television Outside

LED Lights are not light bulbs. They have been around for quite a few years but have just been incorporated in Christmas Light strings in the past couple of years. LED lights have characteristics all of their own and are really a great choice for your outdoor scenes or indoor decorations. LED Lights are actually an electronic device that has no filament to burn out like conventional light bulbs. Without going into too much technical detail, LED lights emit photons (light) when electricity is passed through them. Since there is no filament that gets hot like a light bulb, they can last almost a lifetime. If they do have a problem, it is a manufacturer defect and not because the LED "burned out" in most cases.

They have been used in everything electronic for years instead of light bulbs because of their longevity. Previously, LEDs were made in different colors like red (the most common), yellow, green and now in the past few years... blue and here lately white. The white LEDs are now being used in all types of Flashlights now. We now have multi-color LEDs that can display any color under the sun from one device. These are being used in the big "Jumbotron" displays and electronic billboards you see along the highways. These are now also being used in outdoor and indoor holiday light strings. I have many strings of LED lights that slowly fade from blue to gold and back. If you plug them in at the same time, they all change color at the same time and never go out of sync. It is really amazing.

The advantages of LED light strings are great. They last forever if taken care of. They do not get hot. They are brighter with more vivid color than traditional light bulbs. The signages singapore can change fluidly unlike light bulbs. some LED strings are fixed color (but so are all traditional light bulbs). The only negative thing about LED lights is the cost. They are a bit more expensive than conventional light strings but... pick them up after Christmas on close out sales and you will get them really cheap!
